Columbus ACF Chef of the Year Award – Nominate an Outstanding Chef!

The Chef of the Year Award is one of the highest honors bestowed by the Columbus ACF. This prestigious recognition celebrates a chef whose culinary expertise, dedication, and leadership have elevated the profession and inspired those around them. More than just a title, this award honors a chef who embodies excellence, mentorship, and service to the culinary community.

We are seeking nominations for a chef who:
✅ Commands the respect of their peers through character and performance
✅ Actively contributes to the growth of the culinary industry
✅ Embodies professionalism, mentorship, and service

Nomination Criteria:

📌 Must be an ACF certified member in good standing
📌 Must hold or have held the position of Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Chef Instructor, or Pastry Chef
📌 Must meet at least four of the following:
✔️ Attended at least 75% of general meetings
✔️ Served on a committee or appointed task at the national ACF level
✔️ Contributed at the local level as an officer or committee chair
✔️ Engaged in charitable, civic, or educational activities within the chapter
✔️ Supported the profession through apprenticeship training
✔️ Promoted the industry through public relations, media, publications, or teaching
✔️ Participated in culinary competitions

Important Details:

⚠️ Members of the Chef of the Year Committee are not eligible for nomination.
⚠️ A previous Chef of the Year may not be nominated again for five years.
⚠️ If only one candidate is nominated, the Board of Directors may accept the nomination by acclamation. If multiple candidates are nominated, the winner will be determined by a closed-ballot vote (1 vote per Professional Member).

How to Submit a Nomination:

📨 Email nominations to [email protected] with:
✅ A one-page (8½ x 11) biographical resume of the nominee
✅ A letter of acceptance from the nominee
✅ A high-resolution digital photo of the nominee in a white chef’s coat (minimum 300 dpi, .jpeg format)

🛑 Deadline for submissions: March 5th
